2014 scholarship recipients, Danny Osborne (left) and Gary Martin (right), with CBT co-chair, Cathy Thicke.

The CBT and Genus Capital Management are pleased to award two scholarships annually. Each award is valued at $3000 per year for a maximum of four years ($12,000 in total).

The first scholarship is available to a Ucluelet Secondary School (USS) student pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship is adjudicated by the USS Scholarship Committee and applications can be made through the school’s regular scholarship application process.

The second scholarship is awarded annually to a Central Region Nuu-chah-nulth student. To have your application considered, you must be a member of the Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ucluelet or Toquaht First Nation and you must graduate the year the scholarship is offered.

The awarding of the scholarships will be based on a combination of:
• academic achievement on Grade 12 provincial exams,
• citizenship (e.g., involvement in your community), and
• three letters of reference supporting your scholarship application.
