The Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is about building healthy relationships between community and nature. It is about people working together in the areas of education, science and culture to promote conservation, community health and the connection between all living things. A permanent Biosphere Centre supports and strengthens these goals.
The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT) is working to create a home for the delivery of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve programs and projects. We envision a welcoming place and a community space – where residents and researchers feel equally comfortable – where scientists and story-tellers can share their valuable information.
We love our current home but we know it is temporary. Help us locate or build a new Biosphere Centre for community members, visitors and CBT staff alike.
