Board of Directors

The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT) relies on the vision and strategic direction of a committed Board of Directors representing a diversity of experience, skills and interests supportive of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve designation.

The Board of Directors is comprised of appointments from Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ucluelet and Toquaht First Nations, a representative from the District of Tofino, District of Ucluelet and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District Area C, as well as two At-large Directors. The Directors represent the CBT and its mandate to their individual communities.

Larry Baird (Co-chair)
Mr. Baird is appointed by the Ucluelet First Nation

Don McMillan (Co-chair)
Mr. McMillan is appointed by the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District

Gary Johnsen (Treasurer)
Mr. Johnsen is appointed by the Toquaht First Nation

Eric Russcher (Secretary)
Mr. Russcher is appointed by the District of Ucluelet

Darcy Dobell
Ms. Dobell is appointed by the District of Tofino

Violet Clark
Ms. Clark is appointed by the Ahousaht First Nation

April Charleson
Ms. Charleson is appointed by the Hesquiaht First Nation

Simon Tom Sr.
Mr. Tom is appointed by the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation

Stephanie Hughes
Ms. Hughes is an At-Large appointment to the Board

Cecil Sabbas
Mr. Sabbas is an At-Large appointment to the Board
