Inspire, Engage, Celebrate, and Empower

100 Women Who Care is an event to bring together women who share a common desire to give back and inspire philanthropy in the region. Together, we raise funds to support registered charities or societies/non-profits in the Biosphere Region.

The event is open to all people who identify as women! The more women who get involved, the greater our impact will be. Join us to become a part of an international movement of Women Who Care.

HOW IT WORKS

Purchase a ticket to the 100 Women Who Care event for $105. Next, nominate an organization of your choice to receive the combined contributions of all the women in attendance. Before the meeting, three women's submissions will be randomly chosen, and each will be given five minutes to present the organization and its services to the group. Five minutes will also be provided for questions if needed. At the end of the presentations, the attendees vote, ballots are counted, and the organization with the most votes is announced.

CBT will combine the donations and the total will be given to the local organization. All individual donations will be issued a $100 tax receipt, with the additional $5 going towards event costs.

Our goal is to have 100 women participate and make a $10,000 donation to a registered charity or society/non-profit working in the region. Join us to become a part of an international movement of Women Who Care.

Code of Conduct

We are looking forward to bringing together local women and uplifting ALL women in our community. We aim to create a space that supports a more expansive understanding of womanhood and challenges societal and philanthropic norms. To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, we have established this code of conduct:

Practice respect: We expect all attendees to treat each other with respect and refrain from making racist, classist, transphobic, homophobic, body-shaming, ableist, or similar comments and behaviors. Let's create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Be mindful of boundaries: It's essential to be conscious of the physical, mental, and emotional boundaries of others. Respect others' personal space and be aware of their body language. If someone indicates discomfort or asks for space, please honor their request.

Support choices: Let's create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and accepted for their personal decisions. We encourage a supportive attitude towards those who choose to consume or not consume alcohol, for example.

Reach out for help: Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. If you experience or witness harassment, abuse, assault, or any other violation or harmful behavior, please come talk to one of the organizers. We are here to help. We will take immediate action to intervene and resolve the situation.

We welcome feedback: We are committed to growth and creating an inclusive space. We strive to continuously learn about the impacts of colonization and are working in consultation with Coastal Queer Alliance. We understand that learning is an ongoing process, and we value your input. After the event, we will invite your feedback through a survey. Your insights will help us improve future events and ensure that we are creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.

Our goal is to foster a culture of inclusivity and support at all of our events. We want to ensure that every attendee feels welcome and respected. Thank you for joining us on this journey of empowerment and unity. Let's uplift and celebrate all local women together!

Note: If you need any further assistance or have any concerns during the event, please don't hesitate to reach out.
