The 2025 Holiday Giving Catalogue highlighted what is possible when a community comes together with shared purpose.
Throughout December, partner organizations helped spread the word through their networks, inviting community members, business owners, and visitors to support causes close to their hearts. Donors used the Catalogue as a simple and meaningful way to give back.
Now in its fifth year, this was our most successful Holiday Giving Campaign to date. A total of $37,616 was raised for 22 local charities and over 10 community funds, supporting causes ranging from youth empowerment, food security, and environmental protection.
This total includes a generous $10,000 matching donation from Pacific Sands Beach Resort, as well as donations made through our TipTap tool at Tofitian Cafe, showing how both large and small acts of giving come together to create meaningful impact.
What began as a shared experiment in collective giving has grown into a community-powered platform that reflects the generosity and commitment to this region.
At its heart, the Holiday Giving Campaign is about more than fundraising. It is about collaboration over competition, shared visibility, and building a culture of generosity that benefits the entire region.
This same philosophy is what underpins the vision for the Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Centre.
Just as the Catalogue brings organizations together to amplify impact, the Biosphere Centre is being designed as a shared community resource, a place where organizations, researchers, educators, artists, and community groups can access space, tools, and infrastructure to do their work more effectively. It is a physical home for the kind of collaboration we see each holiday season through the Giving Campaign.
The success of the 2025 Holiday Giving Catalogue reflects something deeply encouraging about our region: when given the opportunity, people show up for one another. They give collectively, they share stories, and they invest in solutions that strengthen the whole community.
